CFAR Sounding: An Interview with Dr. Rajesh Gopal, Secretary General of Global Tiger Forum, Part 2

Now that we have more tigers, how do we keep them? Dr. Gopal talks of the collaborative efforts between government, law enforcement, and civilians to save the tiger’s native lands. For 37 years, Dr. Rajesh Gopal has been a strong advocate for tiger conservation. His work has taken him into the depths of tiger strongholds, as well as the towers of human civilization. As Secretary of the National Tiger Conservation Authority, he was a principal investigator for the recently released tiger census reporting an increase in the tiger population. In this multipart series, Dr. Simba Wiltz and Asli Goncer interview Dr. Gopal about his work, tiger conservation, and the efforts being taken in India as well as around the world to preserve the big cat.
