Sebastian Waits – The New Orange and Black in Green

“I can’t wait to see Wakuwa play in this grass!”

A plush tiger toy with a collar and tag lies in tall grass near a chain-link fence.

Neither can we, Sebastian!  People have asked how we designed our new home.  From the ground to the tip of the roof, every detail of these habitats has been meticulously worked out to provide the safest facility for our residents, our volunteers, and our future guests.   Each enclosure is built inside of a pole barn structure which provides shade from the hot Florida sun as well as shelter from the elements.  The flooring of choice is mulch due to its longevity, low dust content, and comfort for the animals.  One tiger, Wakuwa, has been given a special flooring….grass.  Since her enclosure gets the most sun, it was selected for this experiment.  We are certain she will find it enriching and look forward to watching her roll around in her new, much expanded home.
