The Big Cat Hero is a sponsorship program that supports our efforts to provide a home for big cats in need.  In return, you will receive unique special artifacts that you can display proudly in your home.  By becoming a Big Cat Hero, you’re helping Central Florida Animal Reserve fulfill our mission to build a platform to address the challenges of big cats in the future, while providing value to society today.

FEATURED CATS: JULY 2024

TIANA

At the age of nine months, Tiana and her sister, Aurora, arrived on a sunny May afternoon as the youngest cats to make CFAR’s new location their home.  They were spunky, kitten-awkward, and growing daily – both in size and intelligence.  Tiana has evolved into the water-loving, box-destroying, sweet-tempered young lady that we know now.  We look forward to watching her mature into the beautiful tigress she is destined to be.

RALF

Ralf was part of the first new residents to join CFAR at our new facility.  He was 18 months old, loved his tub, destroying his toys, and stalking our staff.  He was never quite successful at fully hiding, however, because he did not realize that part of his body was always revealed.  This month, as he turns eight years old, he is fully mature male tiger and with age has come an improved technique.  Often, you can catch him peeking through the tiny spaces between the boards of his den, or hiding behind a well-placed fern only to surprise guests and keepers alike.
